Deep dark secrets

What are you hiding? What are you keeping to yourself? Is it something so wonderful you don’t want to share it because you think someone will steal it? Or is it something so horrible you fear others would judge you if they knew it?

Let me assure you of two things: 1) Your beauty and gifts weren’t given to you for you alone. They were gifted to you so that you would unwrap them and show everyone just how wonderful you can be; and for others to admire and follow. Don’t hide your magnificent gifts. 2) Nothing is so horrible that you can’t share it with others. Remember that no one is perfect. It’s very likely that others are dealing with similar obstacles. They just hide them differently. We find strength when we have the courage to share our hardships and look for help. The reality is, our obstacles are not as horrible or as daunting as we imagined. As we learn from our struggles we better recognize when others are wrestling with the same problems. In this way, we become a resource and turn our problems into victories.

So today, don’t hide who you are. Display your beauty and your gifts to others without hesitation. And don’t be afraid to be real. Don’t bottle up your “deep dark secrets”.

Look for others who are struggling the same as you. Share the load. Start new relationships or deepen ones you already have. That’s how God wants you to grow. Be bold. Be a complete you. Because that is an amazing thing. Have a great day! Love dad
