Horse-trading

There’s a game called bigger and better. You may have even played it. Here’s how it goes: you take a small item -‐ like a dime -‐ and you ask someone to trade with you, give you something back bigger and better than 10 cents. Then, you take that new item and trade up. You go as far as you can, to see how many things bigger and better you can acquire.

Easy enough? OK, let’s pretend play. You take your one dime, going door to door, to see how far it will go. The first house gives you an old suitcase for your dime. Not bad. The second house trades an old grill for your suitcase. Even better. The farther you go, the better it gets. Go far enough and you might trade up for something truly valuable, like an old boat or motorcycle. How cool would that be? If you’re persistent enough, your one little dime might lead to something incredible.

That’s how God looks at us. He lets us start with a little talent, a dime’s worth. As we go through life, He helps us invest our time and talents wisely. We get some really cool things, but remember, nothing lasts forever. Always be looking to trade up. You have so much to give, so much to offer, imagine what you’ll get in return! You are incredible!

Enjoy your day. I’m proud of you! Love dad
