Larger than life
What are you afraid of? What gives you pause, makes you hesitate, stops you from doing the things you want to do? What is scary enough to block the way from being the person you were meant to be and reach your potential? Whatever it is, I guarantee you it’s not as ominous as you think.
Have you ever watched a scary movie that gave you goose bumps? The director employs a trick. He leaves the scariest moments to your imagination. He knows that your mind is infinitely more powerful, can conjure up thoughts more terrifying than he can ever put on-‐screen. Same is true with life. We make our obstacles bigger, our concerns larger, more critical than they really are.
But God has another way. He says fear is not His tool. It comes from the darkness. He gives us the tools to overcome fear, tame our lion-‐sized imagination. Your mind? He says use that as a weapon against fear. Your heart? It is both a shield and a sword that can cut this fear to pieces. So today, don’t be afraid. Be bold. Be courageous. Be you. Because a fearless you can conquer anything. I’m proud of you! Love dad
